You do know it is illegal to record a call and not inform the other party, that is why Comcast has the disclamer, they have to say it.

All the people that say “I am a telemarketer and were just doing our jobs” I wish you would shut up. If we wanted the services that you offer then we would seek you out. We dont want to be harassed by you on our own home time.

I do outbound telemarketing sales for Comcast, and I would have given that caller crap too. He obviously knew NOTHING about the product he was selling. He didn’t know what Skype was, didn’t know what a VOIP was. And though I’d never heard of traffic shaping before, I was able to figure out what it meant through the context.
And what a terrible salesman. Apparently the words “Always Be Closing” did not get through to him.

well he couldnt have been offering a good deal because he told him his services and hes getting a better deal how hes doing it now. another thing he wasn’t really giving the guy a hard time. the point of this was because it was recording and he though he would let comcast know that traffic shaping is un acceptable and to poke fun at the idea.

Im a telemarketer and one of our clients we call out for is Comcasts, he was asking if you would wanna add a phone service to your current services for a good price. You didnt have to make it so hard on him, were just doing our job.

I actually work in the cable industry. AT&T Broadband was bought out by Comcast. We used to have AT&T in our area and they had plans to run fiber to the curb, but then they got bought out by Comcast and they totally ****.

That fact is true my friend. He must think his job sucks, so he bitches about it online. So immature of him. Comcast ***** anyways, too much money, I go with Verizon FIOS or IO, much cheaper.

I dont know if you have the best benefits our benefits are pretty good but if you think you have a great job then run with it. Me I actually went to a place called school after I got out of the military so I have a real job, so that I can afford to drop 120 a month for cable and internet and not really think about it.

The fact is he is not happy with his job thats why he has to defend it so.

You do know there are people who have no jobs right? If you’re happy with your job, then stop bitching about it.

Smart comment retard. You can too complain and dump all your trash, and that’s because trash is all you really are. Next time make a sensible comment with some brains attached. I’m happy with my job, in this ******* economy I’ve got great benefits and free free free cable, internet, and phone. That right there is 169 dollars worth of **** you unfortunately pay for. Until then, I run that crank room that’s callin’ your house.
Comment by shizbomb on July 29, 2009 at 10:39 am
That doesnt mean that you have to have your stupid telemarketers calling us and bothering us you idiot.

The big eat the small and the company giants are merging, the weak get taken and I’m sorry but that’s how it works. Comcast is a great place to work, we have the best benefits and some of the most wildest incentives. If you don’t like the service then don’t sign up period. Customers ***** and moan and want everything for free. Well guess what? Life isn’t free.
