Apple Marketing: Part V
Posted by Best Media MarketingJun 16
*HELLO* – So this is Part V, and the final episode of a mini series that I have started, in which I am talking about Apple’s Marketing Strategy. Lately we have seen battles between Apple and Microsoft, shooting each other with commercials. So I thought we should try and break down the essence of Apple’s marketing strategy and try and see if we can understand it, but more importantly if it works.lol. This is Part 5 of 5 videos. Enjoy ! 1) Steve M. Chazin Website – www.marketingapple.com 2 …

Ive yet to see a store that let me watch more than the demo or maybe the desktop. Apple stores allow you to play with the application surf the net, record a short video etc…

You completely forgot one of the boldest moves they make, which is to go to great lengths to keep everything a secret until the day, no the hour they unveil a new product. These types of shennanigans would just **** off consumers if it were ANY OTHER COMPANY.
They iPhone was kept a secret for almost 30 months. You new there was a new labtop coming out but no one new what it was til we saw the MacBook Air in Steve Job’s hands during MacWorld Expo in 2008, etc. etc.
They are fucking magicians.

I do love the packaging, I just got a macbook aluminum. It was so nicely packaged that I am going to keep the lovely sleek box it came in… forever.

I’ve always loved the packaging. I have my iMac box almost displayed to everyone that walks in my room on top of my wardrobe, I kind of wish I done an unboxing too, my girlfriend is actually jealous because she thinks I love it more than her, although iMac’s don’t complain and make you meet their family lol
shh I didn’t say that. As always great video.

I keep all my Apple packaging! It raises the resell value too. I don’t get how some $4000 gaming laptops still come in a cheap cardboard box that looks like it was built for a VCR.

Excellent series of videos man, I agree completely with your points. It seems most other companies are brain-dead relative to Apple when it comes to packaging and unboxing experiences. Even other OEMs that have just begun making attempts at nicer packaging aren’t even close.

I watched all V and they were great! I start my first job this summer and I’ll be buying a Macbook Pro or maybe just a Macbook if I don’t have enough. You and Postbreak are the reason I’ve wanted a Mac for so long and I can’t wait. Thanks again for the great vids dude.

To me, Apple is a lifestyle, which is exactly what Apple wants to convey. iPod, iPhone, Mac, Apple TV, all flow together seamlessly. You buy a Mac, and an iPod to go with it. The Apple TV flows seamlessly with iTunes, iPod and Mac, which all flow together with your Airport Extreme. You walk into the Apple Store and everything is simple and elegant. Almost no wires seen. Just clean tables with elegant products. Apple’s marketing is all about buying Apple products because they flow so seamlessly.

The Apple experience is all in your mind. I have bought Apple products, and have no clue what the “experience” means,

I like apple because they offer quality, nice looking products and a good OS. In my opinion their gadget product line is focused on mass distribution. ( iPods, iPod touches, iPhones etc. )
Comment by Vel1989 on July 22, 2009 at 6:10 am
That is a very good point there and I agree with you but I was mentioning computers. Their computer market share is extremely low. It’s a fact that PC’s are dominant and that’s why they focused on a niche market. Also I do agree that macs have their own section just because they are more expensive and they don’t want people to end up comparing them with the rest of the PC’s. Does apple want to mass distribute ? Only time will tell but so far I think that their market is a niche market.
