How’s the idea of building moving (rolling) roads? Does it provide solution to traffic and pollution issues.

As the developed countries face issues related to traffic, pollution due to increase in vehicles and fuel burnt by vehicles, the time they spend on roads. If moving roads are built using solar cells layered on them. One can just bring his own chair and sit on road and he can go to his destination. The roads will be energised by the solar cells which are attached to them to roll the road over. I think this implementation will do wonders. Give comments and implementation ideas. I want to build a model city with my ideas.

How do you get on to a road that is moving at 65 miles per hour from a road that is stationary?
While you’re busy figuring that one out, computer-piloted cars with super-aerodynamic bodies that run on efficient batteries will have taken over.

were you smoking something when this bright idea came to mind? lets see… it would have to be moving pretty slow to be safe enough to get on to.. like the moving floors you find at some airports.. which would be more of an inconvenience then a benefit… most people walk faster then those things move.
then theres an issue with getting to where u are trying to go… would these “rolling roads” allow you to turn off onto other ones like real roads or would you have to get off one and walk to another?
not to mention your vehicle offers protection from the weather while traveling… how exposed would these roads be?
im not necassarily saying its a stupid idea… its just not very practical.. it seems very limited in its uses and would be a bigger hinderance then sitting in traffic a few mins a day…
